The One Neck Stretch No One is Doing for Forward Head Posture & Neck Pain – Dr Mandell
Forward head posture causes the deep neck flexors to become shortened and contracted in the front of the neck causing other surrounding muscles to become over-worked and spasm. Overtime my right collarbone has shifted upward about a 1/2 inch. My doctor doesn’t seem concerned. Should I be concerned?
I have mild desiccation in the neck and herniated discs in the lower back. 4 years ago i could hardly walk at the nerve pain in my leg was so bad. With easy yoga stretches it improved…but now the pain is in my shoulder and running down my arm and I hand falls asleep in the middle of the night. Thank you for these videos. I will take the advice. I am scared about the progression as I get older. I am in my mid 50s and my Dad has a horrible back…so it runs in the family.
Beware of forward head posture. That is key. Work on postural exercises. Don’t put your arms above your head while sleeping. ?

do you have a stretch for lats? I get a pain just below my shoulder blades. in the area of my back around the 8th and 9th ribs when I play piano.
My new chiro does this stretch on me. Love it! Really thrilled with the amount of time you spend teaching us, especially about forward head posture.
